A rare form of broad sword or parang from the northern Malaysian peninsular region called the parang jengok or parang ginah. Handle is made of hard and dark ebony woods called kenaung in Malay and has a stupa tip.
Long and very sturdy blade with a thick base and a very arcing profile and a pointy tip; features typical of the parang jengok.
Blade is pattern welded, but not using contrasting metals which is the norm of the region.
