A very good and rare example of a keris from the southern Sumatran regions of Palembang. Handle in the typical human relief figurine form has a well repoussed silver ferrule or selut, with the top sheath made from very well selected burl woods or gembol, found only at the roots.
Long and very sturdy blade is straight or lurus, and with rather plain base features it has an overall shape or dapor called tilam sari.
The base cross piece or ganjar has fine floral motifs at the top which was inlaid with gold at one time, but only few of it is left.
Pamor patterns are arranged in the mlumah technique of the wos utah or scattered rice variations.
