A rare example of a keris from the eastern Javanese regions of Blambangan. Fittings in the gayaman branggah styles, with the handle carved with a snake at the top, and made with well selected contrasting grained woods having a rare circular dark line at the middle called pelet kendit. Sheath is also made of contrasting grained woods called pelet awar-awar.
Long and very sturdy blade is straight or lurus with very well executed base features or perabots, having an overall shape or dapor called jalak ngore.
Pamor patterns are arranged in the mlumah technique of the wos utah or scattered rice variations, which is said to enhance the owner’s material well being.
